Take me away (from this busy highway) |
LyricsTAKE ME AWAY (from this busy highway)Intro Take me away from this busy highway Take me away to where I want to be In the country I want to be where I can see The sunrise in the morning The unsetting in the evening I want to be where I can feel The warm summer breezes Blowing soft against my skin I want to run through open meadows Where the sky goes on forever I want to plant good seeds And watch them grow And drink from the cool clear water I want to go where life is slow I want to take my time I want to ease my mind And leave the city life behind I want to feel the earth I want to touch the sky And kiss the city life bye bye I want to run through open meadows Where the sky goes on forever I want to plant good seeds And watch them grow And drink from the cool clear water I want to go where life is slow Take my time I want to ease my mind And leave the city life behind I want to feel the earth And touch the sky And kiss the city life bye bye! I want to kiss the city life bye bye! |
| Story Behind the Song: When my children & I moved to a beautiful new home that happened to be on a dead end street close to a busy highway, I suggested we try to think of the sound of the ocean instead of cars speeding by. Although I haven't found my country home yet, I'm very happy where I am now still in the city overlooking a quiet laneway where people walk their dogs plus a large soccer field and tennis courts ~ |
